Background
Kyle Perez started playing music at the age of 15 when he got his first guitar from his Aunt for his birthday. Growing up listening to Led Zeppelin and Gun’s N Roses, Kyle decided to join his Basha High-school Guitar Ensemble, lead by the schools orchestra teacher. He would later perform Stairway To Heaven with the Bash High school Orchestra his senior year.
Education
Kyle began his studies at Chandler Gilbert Community College with Randy Tucker and later transferred to Arizona State University where he would study with Jiji Kim. Kyle performed Dust In The Wind with the Chandler Gilbert Orchestra. With a passion for composing arranging music for solo guitar, Kyle’s Senior Recital consisted of almost entirely compositions and arrangements of his. These included his Recurrence suite for solo guitar, Theme and Variations on a Theme By Charlie Parker and the trio for voice, cello and guitar War Machine.
Now
Kyle now teachers at his own private studio, after school music program at Phoenix International Academy as well as is the Lead Guitar Instructor at Phoenix Conservatory of Music. He teaches guitar, bass, ukulele and piano as well as ensembles and music theory. He has given professional development training to the staff of Phoenix Conservatory about college requirements as well as for guitar and bass for ensembles.
Kyle also creates and arranges music available on his Youtube channel with the scores of his music available on his Patreon.
